Labor and Delivery Nurse

Overview

  • Travel/contract position in Charlottesville, Virginia
  • 13-week assignment
  • Night shift, 3x12 hours
  • 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Virginia
  • Labor and Delivery (1 year of experience)
  • Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
  • BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
  • EFM - Electronic Fetal Monitoring
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Experience with Epic

Clinical Expectations

  • Expected to cross-train to Mother/Baby
  • May be floated to NICU for feeders/grower care

Schedule

  • Every other weekend
  • Every other holiday
  • Up to 40 hours of time off may be approved

  • Average annual deliveries: 2,000
  • Private labor rooms: 8
  • Private triage beds: 4
  • OB operating rooms: 2
  • Includes certified nurse midwife low-risk population
  • High-risk care includes maternal fetal medicine
