Job Opportunity: Ultrasound Technologist

• Contract Length: 13 weeks

Work Schedule

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Day shift, 5x8 hours)
• Call required 2 days per week and every other weekend
• Must respond to on-call within 30 minutes

Job Summary

• Provide quality ultrasound imaging to assist in patient diagnosis and care
• Support Radiologists during exams
• Work performed in hospital setting including department, surgery, emergency department, and patient floors

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an Ultrasound/Sonography program
• Minimum 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist, with experience within the last year
• ARDMS certification
• ARRT certification

Physical Demands

• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, twist, and occasionally lift/push/pull up to 100 pounds using proper body mechanics
• Perform sonography exams for 8+ hours per day
• Keen hearing and visual acuity required
• Ability to handle critical and highly stressful situations with composure

Safety Sensitive

• Position is safety sensitive under Arkansas Act 593 (Medical Marijuana regulations)

Required Documentation & Compliance

• I9 or Attestation
• Government Issued Photo ID (Driver’s License/State ID)
• Social Security Card copy
• E-Verify or Attestation
• Background Check: 7-year check within 6 months of start, annual updates required for direct candidates, includes aliases, SS trace, counties, state, national, education verification, and sex offender search
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start
• Education Verification
• Facility-specific pre-screening and compliance checklists
• TB Questionnaire (required within 30 days of start regardless of TB result)
• Physical Exam (required within 1 year of start; must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing)
• Drug Testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start; must meet facility timeframes
• Immunizations and Titers (must be current or have valid declinations where allowed):

  • TDAP (within 10 years)
  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (series, positive titer, or declination)
  • Varicella
  • Influenza vaccination or facility-specific declination during flu season (10/1–3/31)
  • COVID vaccination documentation or exemption notification
• CPR certification current
• Competency exams as applicable by profession
• Orientation and safety manual acknowledgements, confidentiality, code of conduct, and other facility-specific forms prior to start

References and Work History

• Two professional references required within 3 years of start date
• Work history verification for the past 2 years
• Resume or employment application copy required

This position offers a hospital-based travel opportunity for an experienced Ultrasound Technologist with required Arkansas licensure and certifications, working primarily day shifts with on-call responsibilities.
