Job Description

• Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse position on a rotating day/night shift (7pm-7:30am / 7am-7:30pm).
• Shifts may vary to meet operational needs; facility will attempt to honor preferred shifts but reserves the right to rotate.
• Must work at least every other holiday.
• Orientation includes ECG rhythm recognition test and medication safety exam (SafeMedicate) with required passing scores.

Required Experience

• Minimum 18 months recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience.
• Must have 18 months permanent experience in the specialty prior to travel assignments.

Required Licenses & Certifications

• Valid Ohio RN license or Compact State license in hand.
• Current certifications required:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)

Required Qualifications & Assessments

• ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate medication administration exam during orientation (passing scores required).
• Must pass background checks including fingerprinting (FBI and BCI) and education verification.
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, confirming ability to safely perform job functions.
• Fit mask test (N95) within 12 months, updated annually.
• Immunizations and health screenings required:

  • Tdap every 10 years
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray as applicable
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccinations or positive titers
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or titer
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
  • Seasonal flu vaccination (no declinations accepted)
• Drug screening: Standard 10-panel within 12 months, updated annually.

Additional Requirements

• Must complete facility-specific online training modules prior to start.
• Must submit 2 professional references from employment within the last year (manager, supervisor, charge nurse, or director).
• Employment application must include at least 3 years prior work history with 2 years in acute care and similar specialty.
• Fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing; results required within 12 months and updated annually. Facility will also conduct fingerprinting onsite.
• Candidates can start with fingerprinting results pending if prints are completed prior to start.
• Candidates must comply with all facility onboarding and competency testing requirements.

Shift Details

• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (3x12's).
• Rotating day/night shifts.
