Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Overview

• Temp assignment in Windsor, Vermont
• 13-week contract
• Nights, 12-hour shifts
• Patient population: Pediatric to Geriatric
• Critical access hospital setting
• EMR: Cerner

Required Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Vermont
• Respiratory Therapist (2 years of experience)
• Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• NBRC
• Driver's License
• Ability to work independently with invasive and non-invasive ventilation
• Ability to draw arterial blood gases (ABGs)
• Airway management including assisting with intubations
• Ability to perform pulmonary function tests (PFTs)
• Willingness to learn home sleep testing
• Experience with Cerner

Preferred Qualifications

• PFTs
• At least 6 months previous travel experience

Additional Notes

• Must be able to work independently with invasive/non-invasive ventilation, draw ABGs, and assist with intubations
• Must be willing to learn new skills such as home sleep testing and Pulmonary Rehab
• Traveler must have their own vehicle
• No more than 5 days of requested time off will be accepted
• Travelers may not take all holidays off and must work two holiday blocks if scheduled/needed
• Requested time off must be noted and verified at upload
• Schedule accommodations such as block scheduling are not accepted
• Cannot work in conjunction with another perm placement or travel assignment
• After 3 call offs, the contract may be terminated at the facility’s discretion
