Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

Location

Lewiston, Maine

Employment Type

Travel contract
Contract length: 13 weeks

Unit & Patient Population

Labor & Delivery (LDRP) unit with 24 beds
Patient population includes neonates and adults
Trauma Level III facility
Patient ratios typically 1:6, with census ranging from 3 to 24 patients

Schedule

Rotating shifts: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM (3x12-hour shifts)
Self-scheduling
36 guaranteed hours per week
Call requirements apply

Required Certifications

Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Requirements/Qualifications

Valid RN license in Maine
Minimum 3 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
Completion of at least one travel nursing assignment
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Experience in Labor Delivery Recovery & Postpartum (LDRP) care
Postpartum nursing experience
Current certifications in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Preferred Experience

Level 1 Nursery experience
Circulating for C-sections
AWHONN Intermediate certification preferred

Equipment & Systems

Electronic Fetal Monitor (EFM)
IV equipment
Electronic Health Records: Cerner, PowerChart
Omnicell Medication System

Additional Information

No first-time travelers accepted
Dress code: Navy blue scrubs
