Overview

Travel RN role in the Emergency Department
Location: Sanford, North Carolina
Shift: 7P–7A
Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
Weekend requirement: every other weekend and some holidays
Call: none
Float: as needed
Orientation is weekly on Mondays

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in North Carolina
ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
ACLS
BLS
NIHSS
PALS
CPI
De-escalation training (HWC, CPI or MAB)
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred

Emergency Medicine experience
Psych ER experience

Unit Details

21-bed Emergency Department
12 telemetry beds
3 behavior health beds
5 fast track rooms
Patient ratio: 1:5
Patient population: all ages

Clinical Focus

Trauma
Resuscitation
IV and IV drips
Oxygen demand support
Blood products
Basic telemetry/EKG
Common diagnoses/treatments include COPD, DKA, Sepsis, Cardiac Emergencies, Neurological Emergencies, and stroke
