Unit Overview

Unit: Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
Beds: 29
Patient Ratio: Ideally 1:4, currently 1:5
Staffing: Unit secretaries and patient care technicians available
Equipment: Alaris IV pumps, Welch Allyn vital signs machines, bladder scanner, vein finder
Documentation System: Meditech
Scheduling: Staff self-schedule; flexible options available, including preference for consecutive night shifts
Floating Policy: Staff float to areas within their competencies
Dress Code: Royal blue scrubs; no artificial or gel nails allowed

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia
Minimum 1 year of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
HHCCA - De-escalation Skills in Healthcare Setting
