Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Location
- Farmington, New Mexico
- Level III trauma center with 194 beds
- Patient population: Newborn to Geriatric
- Night Shift: 7 PM – 7 AM
- Rotating weekends
- No call requirements
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
Unit & Equipment
- Department: Respiratory Care Services
- Trauma Level: 3
- Equipment includes PB980, Vapotherm, Parapac, Resperonics BiPAP V60, Fischer Paykel Bubble CPAP, Opti-Flow
- Electronic Health Record system: Cerner
Role & Specialty
- Position: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Specialty areas: Critical Care, ICU, General Respiratory modalities, Trauma, Rapid Response Team, Stroke Team
- Occasional general pediatric care required
- Must have pediatric experience
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in New Mexico
- Registered Respiratory Therapist with a minimum of 2 years of experience, including experience within the last year
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- Associate degree (2 years) in Respiratory Therapy
- Experience working with pediatric patients

Pros
Unit is comprised of many travelers. Core staff and travelers have all been fantastic! The unit is set up quite well to manage the surges of patients. It is the only main hospital around so it can definitely provide good experience. Most of the providers I've encountered over the last couple months actually listen to the nurses and are easy to work with.
Cons
It is definitely busy before the size of the town. I can't say I have any other cons.
