Registered Nurse - Med Surg Telemetry (Travel)

• Contract length: 13 weeks

Unit Description

• Multi-specialty unit primarily focused on Medical-Surgical and Telemetry care
• Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals
• 36 hours per week, every other weekend required, holidays as needed
• Patient ratio: 1 nurse to 6 patients
• Unit includes medical patients (dialysis, telemetry monitoring, acute medical needs) and surgical patients (orthopedic and general surgery procedures)
• Emphasis on pain management, mobility, complication prevention, and patient-centered care in a safe environment

Work Environment

• Clinical, patient-facing role
• EMR system: Meditech
• Dress code: Solid navy scrubs
• Parking available

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama
• Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
