Overview
- Shift: 10:30 AM–11:00 PM
- 36 hours per week
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Location: Utica, New York
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New York
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- PALS issued by American Heart Association
- NIHSS
- TNCC
- Driver's License
- Pediatrics experience
- SANE / Forensic experience
- Experience with Epic
- Experience with the Arctic Sun temperature management system
- Experience with pressors (Levophed, Neo, Epi, Vasopressin, Dobutamine, Dopamine)
- Experience with vasodilators (Cleviprex, Cardene, NTG)
- Experience with anti-arrhythmic medications (Cardizem, Amiodarone, Lido)
- Experience with sedation agents (Precedex, Propofol, Fentanyl)
- Experience with the Belmont rapid infuser

- Charge capability.
Unit Details
- Emergency Department
- 64 beds total: 2 Triage, 40 acute, 6 super track, 2 Trauma, 10 CDU, 6 psych
- Floating is required.
- Scrub color: Navy Blue
- Common patient diagnoses include Stroke, Sepsis, Trauma, MI, Cardiac Arrest, and Respiratory Failure.
- Patients include Newborn, Pediatrics, Adults, and Geriatric.
- Facility expectation includes care for all assigned patients, including SANE.
- Specialty equipment includes Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun.
- Required drips and medications include Levophed, Neo, Epi, Vasopressin, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Cleviprex, Cardene, NTG, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Lido, Precedex, Propofol, Fentanyl, TNK, Heparin, and Insulin.
