RN Labor and Delivery

Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
Experience Required: Minimum Level 1 experience; 2-5 years of Labor and Delivery experience preferred


Job Summary

Provide nursing care to patients with a range of health problems under general supervision. Responsibilities include:

  • Managing an assigned group of patients
  • Documenting patient responses and changes in physician orders
  • Assisting physicians with examinations and minor procedures
  • Monitoring physiological data and intervening as needed
  • Administering medications, intravenous infusions, and blood products
  • Delivering competent patient care and communicating care plans to patients and families
  • Making referrals for patient care needs and delegating tasks to support staff

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited school

Licenses & Certifications

  • Valid RN license in Oklahoma
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) issued by the American Heart Association
  • Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certificate
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
  • Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
  • Minimum Level 1 nursing experience
