Interventional Radiology

Overview

• Travel/contract assignment in Charlottesville, Virginia
• 13 weeks
• Day shift: 4x10 hours, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Rotating call every 4th week
• 50-mile radius rule applies

Role Summary

• Imaging support in the OR working vascular IR
• The role is for a tech, not a nurse
• Ideal for someone comfortable being actively involved in the full case workflow, working independently, and supporting vascular/IR and Hybrid OR procedures

Required Qualifications

• Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Virginia
• Interventional Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
• 1 year of Interventional Radiology Technologist experience
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ARRT
• Experience with Epic

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong vascular/IR experience
• Familiarity with Hybrid OR procedures

Responsibilities

• Pull inventory and order cases in EPIC before procedures
• Run the table and controls during cases
• Perform 3D spins and work with fusion technology
• Stay actively engaged in the room throughout procedures, including filming and post-processing images
• Use HI-IQ to document and add inventory used during the case
• Work closely with vascular surgeons, the OR team, and other procedural team members
• Use a C-arm during downtime to support simple surgical cases, including Impellas and cystos
