RN - NICU-Based Float Pool

Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Livingston, New Jersey
• Night shift: 3x12 hours, 19:00–8:00
• 36 hours per week
• 13-week contract
• Fri/Sat/Sun schedule, except on holiday weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New Jersey
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care (1.5 years of experience)
• NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience within the last year
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure issued by American Heart Association
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• Experience working with NICU Level 3 patients
• Experience with Epic
• Central Line/Implanted Line Care
• Experience with umbilical line (UAC/UVC) management
• IV vasopressors
• Steroids administration
• Surfactants administration
• Dysrhythmia Interpretation/Management
• Experience with ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP)
• Feedings (bottle, breast, gavage)
• Placement/Management of oral/nasogastric/nasojejunal tubes
• Must work or provide on-call coverage for 1 of 2 or 2 of 3 winter holidays, as needed
• Every other weekend
• Floating is required without exception

• Dysrhythmia Interpretation/Management

• Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome

Float Scope

• NICU-based float pool
• May float to PICU, Peds, and NBN

Unit Details

• NICU-based float pool
• 56-bed Level III NICU

• Locals accepted at the same rate
• Navy pants, Peds top scrubs
