Schedule

• Night shift
• 3x12-hour shifts
• 36 hours per week
• Weekend shifts required: 8 per 6-week schedule period
• Regular floating may be required between departments, units, and facilities

Contract Length

13 weeks

Setting

• ICU
• Average daily census: 16
• 21 rooms/beds
• First-time travelers accepted

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Missouri
• CVICU (2 years of experience)
• CVICU experience within the last year
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Key Clinical Experience

• Cardiovascular, medical, and surgical ICU care
• Post-cardiothoracic and vascular surgery patients
• Post heart and liver transplant care
• ECMO support
• CVPACU recovery workflow
• Structural heart and vascular procedures
• TEE/cardioversion recovery
• Central line placement support for temporary line needs
• Impella, IABP, LVAD, and CRRT care

Core Skills

• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• CVP, pulmonary artery/Swan Ganz, and arterial line monitoring
• Cardiac drip and vasoactive drip titration
• Ventilator, BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, and tracheostomy care
• Chest tube insertion/removal assistance
• Blood product administration
• IV insulin protocols
• Renal failure, hemodialysis, and urine output monitoring
• Infection prevention and isolation precautions

Compliance Notes

• No pending license accepted
• No on-call requirement
• RTO limit: no more than 7 days
• Navy blue scrubs
• EPIC charting
