Job Description

Position involves working in Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) with Pediatric PACU, Phase I, Phase II recovery, and Pre-post experience required.
ICU experience is required.
Shift schedule: 4x10 hour shifts per week, evening (1:00 PM - 11:30 PM) and night (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) rotations.
Call required approximately 5-6 times per six-week period (day/evening).
Float to cover ICU required.
Weekend shifts: 2 weekends per 6 weeks.
Scrubs provided.
Cerner electronic health record system experience required.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland
Minimum 1 year of Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) experience, with PACU experience within the last year
Experience working with Pediatric patients
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
PALS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam
Experience with Cerner electronic health record system

Additional Information

Must be able to float to ICU as needed.
Call and weekend shifts are part of the schedule.
Facility requires strict adherence to immunization and health screening policies.
Documentation and compliance with all background checks, drug screens, and certifications must be maintained and up to date.
Physical and health requirements must be met to ensure safe patient care.
Candidates must provide a clear photo for badge issuance.
References and employment history must be complete and verifiable with no gaps.

Shift Details

Evening shift: 1:00 PM to 11:30 PM
Night shift: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (40 hours/week)
