Job Opportunity: CRT (Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics) - Travel/Contract
Location: Omaha, Nebraska
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day (4x10 hours), 7:45 AM – 5:15 PM
Hours per Week: 40
Job Summary
Seeking a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) for a travel contract position in a Level 1 Trauma, Academic Medical Center. The role involves working with complex patients in a large acute-care facility.
Required Qualifications
- Licensure: Nebraska state license preferred to have in hand before start; licensing process may take 6-8 weeks, with start date adjusted accordingly.
- Certification:
- CRT required
- RRT preferred
- ACLS and BLS required (AHA certifications)
- Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of respiratory therapy experience required
- At least 1 year of experience at a large (>500 bed) Level 1 Trauma, Academic Medical Center required
- Trauma Experience: Level 1 Trauma experience required
- Charting: Epic charting experience preferred
- Travel Experience: First-time travelers accepted (prior travel experience not required)
Additional Requirements & Compliance
- Must be located more than 100 miles from the facility (no locals accepted)
- Government-issued photo ID required
- Background check within 30 days of start and updated annually, including multiple county and nationwide checks
- SAM and OIG checks required within 30 days of start and every 30 days thereafter
- High school diploma required
- Primary source verification of licensure prior to start
- Annual skills checklist required
- Two professional references from work within the past 2 years required
- Various health and safety documents required, including:
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, updated annually
- Fit mask test within 1 year, updated annually (specific mask models required)
- Immunizations and titers: Tdap, MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Hepatitis B, Varicella
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray documentation, updated annually
- Drug screening within 60 days of start, updated annually
- Flu vaccine preferred (documentation or declination required)
- COVID vaccine preferred (medical/religious exemption or declination accepted)
- Orientation safety manual acknowledgement required
- State-specific registry checks required within 30 days of start
- Eye exam required only if working in the OR (not applicable here)
