Job Opportunity: MRI Tech
Location: Everett, Washington
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)
Guaranteed Hours: 60 hours per 2 weeks (may be called off for 1 shift per 2-week period)
Floating: Required to float between Outpatient, Inpatient, and Emergency Department units
Job Description
- Perform a variety of MRI exams including specialized studies such as Cardiac MRI and Breast MRI during day shifts.
- Night shifts focus on routine scans (brains, spines, abdomens, extremities).
- Patient acuity ranges from ambulatory to total assist; day shift sees more ambulatory patients, night shift more inpatient assistance.
- Weekend shifts are not required.
- Call is optional for agency techs.
Required Qualifications
- Valid MRI Technologist license in Washington.
- Minimum of 1 year of MRI Technologist experience.
- MRI Technologist experience within the last year.
Facility & Work Environment
- Level II Trauma Center with outpatient, interventional radiology, emergency, and inpatient services.
- Total staffed beds: 571 (across campuses).
- Charting system: EPIC.
- Scrub color: Any except reddish orange.
- Parking: Facility paid.
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID).
- Social Security Card (as applicable).
- Background check within 90 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; updated annually.
- Education verification required.
- State-specific background and registry checks as applicable for Washington.
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, confirming ability to work with or without accommodation.
- Immunizations and health screenings required:
- TDAP (within 10 years or declination accepted)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Seasonal flu vaccine or declination during flu season
- COVID vaccination record preferred (declinations accepted)
- Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start (instant acceptable).
- Respiratory safety clearance required for travel candidates, updated annually.
- Fit mask testing required for travel candidates, updated annually (not required for sterile processing techs).
Additional Requirements
- Must complete annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via the employer’s LMS system.
- Must acknowledge and comply with float policy (may be required to float to other nearby facilities).
- Minimum of 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years.
- Employment application covering at least the last 5 years required.
- Skills checklist must be updated annually as applicable.

- Radiation badges are issued by the facility as needed.
- No weekend requirement; call is optional.
