SICU Travel/Contract RN

Location

New Orleans, Louisiana

Schedule

Day shift, 3x12 hours
6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
36 hours per week

Contract Length

8 weeks

Job Overview

High-acuity ICU role
Patient ratio: 1:2
Float to other ICUs and SDUs
No block scheduling requests

Relevant Clinical Experience

SICU skills include general post-op care for surgical recovery patients
Experience with continuous renal replacement therapy
Preferred experience with PA catheters and balloon pumps

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Louisiana
SICU - Surgical Intensive Care (1 year of experience)
SICU - Surgical Intensive Care experience within the last year
ACLS
BLS issued by American Heart Association
NIHSS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience with Continous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT)
Experience with Epic

Additional Assignment Expectations

May be assigned to an emergency team during an emergency event and may be expected to remain at the facility until the event passes or serve on the relief team
Must be comfortable with emergency-event assignment expectations as part of the travel contract
