SICU Travel/Contract RN
Location
- New Orleans, Louisiana
Schedule
- Day shift, 3x12 hours
- 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
- 36 hours per week
Contract Length
- 8 weeks
Job Overview
- High-acuity ICU role
- Patient ratio: 1:2
- Float to other ICUs and SDUs
- No block scheduling requests
Relevant Clinical Experience
- SICU skills include general post-op care for surgical recovery patients
- Experience with continuous renal replacement therapy
- Preferred experience with PA catheters and balloon pumps
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Louisiana
- SICU - Surgical Intensive Care (1 year of experience)
- SICU - Surgical Intensive Care experience within the last year
- ACLS
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience with Continous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT)
- Experience with Epic
Additional Assignment Expectations
- May be assigned to an emergency team during an emergency event and may be expected to remain at the facility until the event passes or serve on the relief team
- Must be comfortable with emergency-event assignment expectations as part of the travel contract
