Operating Room RN

Overview

• Travel/contract role in Hays, Kansas
• 13-week assignment
• Day shift: 4x10 hours, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• 40 hours per week
• On-call Monday through Thursday, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, alternating 1st or 2nd call
• Peri-op role in the OR

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Kansas
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• OR - Operating Room (2 years of experience)
• OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• Government-issued photo ID
• Social Security Card or SSN
• Proof of E-Verify or attestation
• Background check, including 7-year criminal check, SS trace, counties, nationwide, sex offender, FACIS Level 3, and education verification
• EPLS/GSA/SAM
• HHS/OIG
• State license verification
• NURSYS verification
• Orientation Safety Manual acknowledgement
• Medication test/pharmacology competency exam
• Competency exam
• Physical exam within the last 12 months
• Tdap within the last 10 years
• Negative TB or chest X-ray
• Rubeola (measles) documentation
• Mumps documentation
• Rubella documentation
• Hepatitis B documentation
• Varicella documentation
• Negative 13-panel drug test within 30 days of start
• Flu vaccination or exemption documentation, seasonally
• 2 professional references
• Skills checklist, if applicable to the unit

Preferred

• PALS is preferred for OR RNs
• TNCC may be required depending on the unit description
• CPI may be required depending on the specialty/unit description

Additional Notes

• Any color scrubs are allowed
• Lactation resources are available
• Orientation is held on the main campus in Hadley Room #4
