Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Night shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
- Floating required to multiple units including NICU, PICU, Emergency Department, Stepdown, and Medical-Surgical as needed
- Assignments will be appropriate to floating areas
- Prefers close to 2 years of nursing experience
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Ohio
- Minimum 2 years of CVPICU experience, with at least some experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
- ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
Certifications
- BLS (American Heart Association Instructor, Provider, or RQI accepted)
- PALS (American Heart Association Instructor, Provider, or RQI accepted)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) required for NICU assignments
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) as applicable
- ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) as applicable
- National or state-required technical certifications as applicable
- Verification of all certifications must match legal name on RN license exactly (no nicknames or misspellings)
Background and Compliance Requirements
- Criminal background check within 30 days of start, including 7-year county search and education verification
- Federal and state exclusion lists (EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG) within 30 days of start
- Ohio BCI/FBI fingerprinting within 60 days of start, must be updated for each new contract
- Education verification through National Student Clearinghouse or in-house verification if needed
- Sex offender search, Ohio Nurse Aide Registry, Ohio Inmate Registry, Ohio Medicaid Exemption, and Ohio State Abuse Registry searches required within 30 days of start
- Drug screen (9-panel) negative result within 60 days prior to start
- Code of Conduct and Confidentiality Agreement must be reviewed and signed prior to start
- Affiliating Health Record must be completed and address must match official IDs exactly
- Infection Control Policy review and signature required prior to start
- Fit mask testing (N95) required within 1 year of start and updated annually; onsite testing allowed if prior testing not completed before start
- TB testing options include 2 PPDs or IGRA within 12 months; additional requirements for positive results
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine required within 10 years of start (must be completed after age 11)
- Seasonal flu vaccine required for assignments between October 31 and May 31; medical/religious exemptions accepted with facility approval
- Immunization or titer documentation required for Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Hepatitis B (declination accepted for Hep B if titer negative/equivocal)
- Physical exam required within 1 year of start (no longer required to submit copy, but must be on file)

- Candidate’s legal name must match all documentation and licenses exactly
- Ohio driver’s license holders must have an address more than 60 miles from the facility to avoid being considered local
