Operating Room RN

Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Largo, Maryland
• 13-week assignment
• Day shift: 5x8, Monday–Friday, 06:45–15:15
• Adults/Geriatrics patient population
• 1:1 ratio

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Maryland
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• OR - Operating Room (3 years of experience)
• OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Experience with the da Vinci surgical robot
• Ability to scrub
• Ability to circulate
• Trauma experience
• Urology experience
• Orthopedics experience
• Plastic Surgery experience
• Neurology experience
• OB/GYN experience
• Endoscopy experience
• Experience with Epic

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS

Unit Details

• Level II Trauma center
• General OR cases include trauma, uro, podiatry, ortho, plastics, neuro, gyn, endo's, ENT, thoracic, vascular, cardio, bariatric, and DaVinci robotics

Schedule and Coverage

• Holidays required as scheduled, including on-call coverage
• Weekends required on a rotational basis, including on-call shifts
• On-call: 5–6 calls per 4-week period, including one weekend call
• Weekday/weeknight on-call runs from end of shift to 6:30 AM the next morning
• Weekend on-call is 24 hours
• Must arrive within 30 minutes when called in

Floating

• Float within the specialty and to sister Laurel campus as needed

• First-time travelers accepted with strong general OR and robotics experience
