Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, laboratory, chemical, physical, or biological science
Medical Lab Scientist experience within the last year
1 year of Medical Lab Scientist experience
MLS(ASCP) or MT(ASCP)

Evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of the POCT program
Investigate new methodologies, instrumentation, and systems
Coordinate evaluation and implementation of testing methodologies and instrumentation
Develop and validate processes and written procedures for new or modified testing processes
Support data management system workstation functions, including maintenance, system checks, flag review, unknown operator investigation, approved operator list maintenance, and patient identification error investigation
Standardize test procedures across sites when possible
Review POCT manuals at all sites annually
Collaborate with leadership and administrative staff to write and implement POCT policies
Coordinate POCT processes such as quality control, proficiency testing, inventory control, compliance audits, and POCT information systems
