Overview

Schedule and assignment details

• Weekend coverage is based on staffing, typically every 4th weekend with weekday coverage.
• On-call is required; weekday call is 3:00 PM–7:00 AM and follows a rotation.
• Floating within scope and between like units/sister facilities is required.
• Block scheduling may be requested before assignment but is not guaranteed.

Required qualifications

• Valid RN license in South Carolina
• OR - Operating Room (4 years of experience)
• OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Additional notes

• Local candidates are accepted on a case-by-case basis if within 60 miles.
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application.
• Surgical scrubs are provided.
• Free parking is available in unrestricted spaces.

Compliance and onboarding

• A background check is required.
• Education verification is required.
• References are required, including at least one from the same unit.
• A physical exam is required within 90 days of start.
• Tdap is required within 10 years of start or a declination must be completed.
• TB testing or chest X-ray documentation is required within 90 days of start.
• Drug screening is required within 90 days of start.
• Flu vaccination documentation or an approved exemption is required during flu season.
• COVID vaccination is not required but is highly preferred.
• Respirator clearance is required annually.
• Orientation modules and facility-specific onboarding documents must be completed before start.
