Pulmonary Function Technologist

Job Overview

• Travel/contract role in Auburn, New York
• 13-week assignment
• Day shift: Monday–Wednesday 7:30 AM–3:30 PM and Thursday 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
• No weekends
• 24 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Care Practitioner license in New York
• Respiratory Care Practitioner (1 year of experience)
• Respiratory Care Practitioner experience within the last year
• Unexpired government-issued photo ID
• Background check within 1 year of start, covering all locations lived/worked/in school for the past 7 years, with annual updates
• EPLS/GSA/SAM clearance before facility start
• HHS/OIG clearance before facility start
• AHA BLS
• National certification/verification prior to facility start and upon expiration, as applicable by profession and state
• State license verification prior to facility start and upon expiration, as applicable by profession
• Nursys verification prior to facility start, as applicable by profession
• Orientation Safety Manual acknowledgement
• Annual stroke education requirement
• Annual NIH Stroke Scale training requirement
• Annual tuberculosis screening questionnaire
• Full physical exam within 12 months of start date, signed by a licensed provider
• Fit test within 12 months of start date, with annual updates
• Tdap vaccination within the last 10 years or declination
• TB test within 1 year of start, or chest x-ray if previously positive
• Measles and rubella immunity documentation
• Hepatitis B series, titer, or signed declination
• Varicella immunity documentation
• 9-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Flu vaccine or declination during flu season
• COVID vaccine records or declination
• 2 professional references within 3 years of hire
• Skills checklist

Schedule Notes

• RTO requests must be submitted before candidate submission
• Compliance documents must be completed and submitted by 12:00 PM EST on the Tuesday before the start date
• Start dates require at least two weeks for compliance processing
• Travelers within 50 miles are considered local candidates

Additional Notes

• Candidate must review and sign required orientation and policy documents
• Automated dispensing cabinet security paperwork is required for nurses, respiratory therapy, cath lab rad tech, and IR tech for Pyxis access
