Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Unit Information

  • Unit: Respiratory Therapy
  • Facility size: 240 beds
  • Respiratory Therapy staff: 15 RRTs
  • Minimum staffing: 3 RRTs on day shift, 3 RRTs on night shift
  • Patient load: 30-40 points average per shift
  • Equipment: PB 840 ventilators in ICU
  • Electronic Medical Record system: Meditech

Typical Procedures

  • Administer respiratory treatments
  • Ventilator setup and management
  • Assist with intubation
  • Arterial Blood Gas (ABG) sampling
  • Patient and staff education
  • All respiratory therapy procedures across Emergency Department, Pediatrics, ICU, NICU, Medical, and Surgical units

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Colorado
  • Minimum 0.5 years of Respiratory Therapist experience
  • Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, NBRC
  • De-escalation skills in healthcare settings
