Job Overview

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin
• Med Surg (2 years of experience)
• Med Surg experience within the last year
• BLS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Schedule & Work Setting

• Typically rotates into every third weekend
• No call requirements
• May float as a sitter to Senior Behavioral Health Unit or ICU if needed; rare

Preferred

• ACLS certification preferred
• Post-surgical experience preferred

Unit Details

• Medical/Surgical floors
• 32 beds
• Typical patient ratio: 4–6 patients per RN
• Common patient population includes adults, geriatrics, and pediatrics
• Common diagnoses/treatments include sepsis, pneumonia, heart failure, renal failure, and post-operative care

Additional Notes

• Weekly orientations
• Local rate is reduced compared with travel rate
• Scrub colors allowed: navy blue, royal blue, Caribbean blue, black, or gray
• No hoodies, sweatshirts, or fleece
