• Specialty: Long-Term Care (LTC) Registered Nurse
• Location: Bigfork, Minnesota
• Contract Length: 8 weeks
• Shift: Days (12-hour shifts, 7a-7p)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Units: Two units—Tamarack (20 beds) and Aspen Memory Care Unit (20 beds)
• Patient Population: Includes memory care patients; common diagnoses related to LTC and dementia care
• EMR System: Point Click Care
• Weekend Requirement: Typically every other weekend, possibly more
• Holiday Work: Yes
• Scrub Color: Any

Job Responsibilities & Environment

• Dementia training is required prior to start
• No charge nurse responsibilities
• No floating between units
• Orientation: 3 shifts for RN/LPN on the floor-specific unit
• Nurse-to-patient ratios:

  • Days: One RN or LPN per unit
  • Nights: One RN/LPN covering both units
• Team environment focused on building a positive culture; flexibility required as assignments may change during shifts
• Physicians round daily (4-5 private practice physicians)

Required Qualifications

• Current Minnesota RN license
• BLS Certification
• Dementia training completed before starting
• First-time travel nurses are welcome

Additional Notes

• CNA and LPN staff support available on units
• Shifts for CNAs cover day, evening, and night; RN shifts are 6a-6p
• Must be able to contribute positively to a team-oriented culture
