Travel/Contract role in Kalamazoo, Michigan
Start date: ASAP
46-bed surgical unit
Main patient population includes trauma surgery, post bariatric surgery, post abdominal surgery, post amputation surgery, and urological issues
Also takes overflow medically and cardiac patients
Ratios typically range from 1:5-6 and can increase to 1:7 with call-ins
Day shift: 4x12, 0700-1930
No call
Every other weekend
Every other holiday
Guaranteed hours: 36
First-timers accepted
Locals not accepted; travelers must live at least 50 miles away from the facility
Charting system: Cerner

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Michigan
Med Surg / Telemetry (1 year of experience)
Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
BLS issued by American Heart Association
NIHSS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
