Overview

• Travel/contract role in Westminster, Maryland
• Night shift: 3x12 hours, 18:45–07:15
• 36 hours per week
• 13-week contract
• Patient ratio: 1:2
• Local candidates accepted
• No block schedule
• One pre-approved time-off request per contract

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Maryland
• Pediatrics (2 years of experience)
• Pediatrics experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Med Surg experience

Work Expectations

• May float to adult Med-Surg, Telemetry, or Family Birthplace based on hospital needs and prior experience
• Every third weekend required

Unit Details

• 4-bed pediatric unit
• Serves neonates, infants, pediatric, and adolescent patients
• RN may frequently be the only caregiver on the unit
• Support available from the Emergency Department and Family Birthplace
• Common patient populations include respiratory illness, jaundice, overdose, social placement, failure to thrive, congenital medical conditions, dehydration/diarrhea, and diabetes
