Location: Aurora, Colorado
Employment type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Night, 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:30
Hours per week: 36
Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Colorado
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Maternal - Newborn (1 year of experience)
Maternal - Newborn experience within the last year
One completed travel assignment
Labor and Delivery experience
Antepartum experience
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure issued by American Heart Association

Schedule / Assignment Expectations

Rotating nights
Call required per unit needs
Weekend requirement per unit needs
Does not float within scope to meet facility needs
Float required to antepartum, with fetal monitoring experience
First-time travelers not accepted

Unit Information

Mother-baby / couplet care / postpartum unit
Typical ratio: 1:3 couplets, up to 6 patients
32 beds
High-risk patient population
May care for antepartum patients with fetal monitoring experience
May care for newborns who do not need NICU-level care
Accepts patients 2000 g and above
May include late preterm, substance-exposed newborns, phototherapy, magnesium drips, insulin drips, heparin drips, PCA/PCEA pumps, and breastfeeding support
