Endoscopy RN

Overview

  • Travel/contract role in Madison, Wisconsin
  • 13-week assignment
  • Day/evening schedule, 8-hour shifts
  • Rotating start times between 6:30 AM and 10:30 AM
  • Weeknight call required
  • May need to stay past the end of shift to finish the day’s schedule

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform moderate sedation in procedure
  • Provide pre- and post-procedure care across all levels, including PACU/Phase I and Phase II recovery
  • Recover sedated GI and pulmonary procedures, including ERCP, EUS, EGD, colonoscopy, endoscopy, and bronchoscopy

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Wisconsin
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Endoscopy experience within the last year
  • 2 years of endoscopy experience
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
  • BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
  • Experience performing moderate sedation in endoscopic procedures
  • Experience recovering sedated GI procedures (ERCP, EUS, EGD, Colonoscopy)
  • Experience with RN-driven sedation assessment using Ramsay Sedation Scale
  • Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center or similar size hospital
  • PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience
  • Experience with Epic
