Job Opportunity: CT Tech

Location: New Orleans, Louisiana
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Position requires working Monday to Friday, 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM.
Experience needed in Emergency Department (ED), inpatient, and outpatient settings.
Candidate will float between ED, main campus, outpatient, and nearby clinics.
Experience with Epic and GE systems is required.
Unit does not accept first-time travelers.
Must work holidays if scheduled.
This position is in an area commonly impacted by hurricanes (June 1 - Nov 30 hurricane season). Candidates may be assigned to an Emergency Team during storms with expectations to stay onsite or assist with relief efforts.

Requirements/Qualifications

Valid CT Technologist license in Louisiana
CT Technologist with a minimum of 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
Completion of at least one travel assignment as a CT Technologist
ARRT (CT) certification (Tech Cert Verification - National)
Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification
Experience in Emergency Department (ED), inpatient, and outpatient settings
Experience with Epic electronic health record system
Experience with GE and GE Healthcare imaging systems

Pros

Staff are very nice and I have been given very reasonable assignments for the most part. Management and providers are very approachable and always willing to help!

Cons

Floated about every other shift but people have been super accommodating and kind!
