Case Manager

Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Roseville, California
• Day shift: 5x8 hours, 8:00–16:30
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, no weekends, no call
• Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• Acute Care Case Management (2 years of experience)
• Acute Care Case Management experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience in ACUTE Case Management in California (excluding Kaiser)
• Background check required within 6 months of start
• Sex Offender Search required within 90 days of start
• FACIS Level 3 search required within 2 weeks of start, then monthly after start
• California Medi-Cal Search Result required only if FACIS III cannot be run monthly
• HHS/OIG required annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM required annually
• NURSYS verification required within 30 days of start
• State License 1 verification required within 30 days of start
• ACLS
• BLS
• Unit-specific skills checklist required
• Full 7 years of work history must be included in the application with city and state for each location
• Employment history verification required for up to 7 years, with gaps over 30 days explained

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• Experience with healthcare reimbursement systems such as HMO, PPO, PPS, CMS, value-based reimbursement models, and alternative payment systems
• General understanding of coding and DRG assignment process

Additional Notes

• Outpatient Case Management, Home Health, or Health Plan Case Management experience will not suffice
• Must be able to communicate and collaborate effectively with patients, families, physicians, nurses, and ancillary partners
• Must be able to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and manage high-volume, rapidly changing priorities
• Strong verbal and written communication, negotiation, time management, teamwork, and customer service skills are emphasized
• Intermediate computer and technology skills are needed
