Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery (L&D) – Nights

Location: Sioux City, Iowa
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide professional and clinical care as part of an interdisciplinary team in Labor & Delivery.
• Must be comfortable floating to Post-Partum 1-2 shifts per week within the same discipline across local campuses.
• Local candidates are not eligible; candidates must have a taxable address more than 50 miles from the facility.
• Work schedule: 12-hour night shifts.
• EMR system used: EPIC.

Required Qualifications

• Active Iowa RN license (must be verifiable via Nursys at time of submission).
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience, including:

  • Circulating experience (required).
  • High-risk and high-acuity experience (required).
  • Experience within the past year at a high-volume delivery center (200-300 deliveries/month).
• Skills checklist specific to Labor and Delivery discipline.
• Certification requirements:

  • BLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
  • ACLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
  • Fetal monitoring certification from the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN).
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Professional references or performance evaluations within the last 24 months are preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Scrub experience in Labor & Delivery.
• Multiple completed travel contracts.
• Experience with EPIC STORK module.

Additional Information

• Orientation sessions are scheduled periodically before and during the contract.
• Overtime and holiday pay multipliers apply (details not included here).
• Call back and on-call pay available (details not included here).
• Billable overtime hours start after 40 hours per week.
