Provide nursing care on the Cardiovascular Unit (CVU), which manages over 4,000 cardiology patients annually, including post-op open heart surgery patients (18-24 hours post-op).
Care for patients undergoing procedures such as PTCA, stents, TAVR, MitraClip, and bi-ventricular pacemakers.
Manage patients with congestive heart failure and electrophysiology studies.
Participate in clinical trials managed by the research department.
The unit has received a Silver level Beacon Award and was redesigned by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN).
The hospital is recognized as a Top 50 Heart Hospital in the U.S.

Dress code: Navy Blue Scrubs

Strict 3-strike attendance policy: termination after 3 absences or being more than 20 minutes late, with exceptions for documented communicable disease or hospitalization. Policy effective 6/1/2024.
Full-time employees of the hospital system are not eligible for contract hire within six months of employment.
Local traveler policy applies for those living within 35 miles of the facility.
