Registered Nurse (RN) – Intensive Care Unit (ICU) – Nights

Location: Lansing, Michigan
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights
Hours per Day: 12 hours


Job Description

  • Provide care to critically ill patients ranging from adolescent to geriatric.
  • Manage a variety of patient diagnoses including medical, surgical, cardiac, and neurosurgical cases.
  • Maintain professional nursing standards.
  • Supervise CNAs, SNAs, LPNs, or other healthcare workers as assigned.

Unit Details

  • ICU with 16 beds.
  • Trauma Level III.
  • Electronic Medical Record system: Cerner.
  • Dress code: Grey scrubs.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of ICU experience, specifically in surgical and cardiac care.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Michigan.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with open heart surgery returns.
  • Prior travel experience preferred but not required.

Additional Information

  • This position involves 12-hour shifts during nights.
  • Supervisory responsibilities over support staff.
  • The ICU provides care for a broad spectrum of critical and life-saving procedures.
