EEG Tech Travel Opportunity

Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Facility & Unit Overview

• Acute care hospital with Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, and children's hospital services.
• Clinical Neurophysiology Lab located on 4th floor, A Tower.
• Unit provides inpatient and outpatient EEG coverage including Neonatal, Pediatric, Adult, LTM/ICU/EMU continuous EEGs.
• Staff of 7 EEG Techs.
• Hours: Monday-Friday 7:00 AM - 9:00 PM; Saturday-Sunday 8:30 AM - 9:00 PM.
• Equipment used: Natus Xltek.
• EMR system: Cerner Powerchart.
• Weekend and on-call coverage required on a rotating basis.
• Dress code: Teal tops and black pants.

Required Qualifications

• Registered EEG Tech certification.
• Minimum 2 years of EEG Tech experience in an inpatient hospital setting.
• Neonatal and pediatric EEG experience required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with collodion application.
• 4+ years of inpatient hospital EEG experience.

Typical Procedures

• Neonatal, pediatric, and adult EEGs.
• Long-term monitoring (LTM), ICU, and Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) continuous EEGs.
