Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery
Location: Denver, Colorado
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information
- Labor & Delivery unit with 16 beds and approximately 40 staff members
- Day shift staffing: 6 RNs (including 1 charge nurse and 1 scrub tech)
- Night shift staffing: 5 RNs (including 1 charge nurse and 1 scrub tech)
- Patient-to-nurse ratio typically 1:2, may fluctuate based on acuity
- Equipment includes GE fetal monitor system
- Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems: CPN, Meditech
Typical Procedures
- Cerclages
- Versions
- Cesarean sections (C-sections)
- Vaginal deliveries
- Dilation & Curettage (D&C)
- Care of fetal demise
- Epidurals
- Circulating during C-sections
- Care for both low-risk and high-risk obstetric patients
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado
- Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- Experience in an Acute Care setting
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Certifications:
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with mom/baby couplet care
- Comfortable caring for unblocked/unepiduralized patients
- Strong collaboration skills with physicians, midwives, and doulas
