Registered Nurse - Telemetry (Travel Assignment)

Employment Type: Travel

Unit Information

Unit: 9 Tower Medical/Telemetry
Beds: 29
Staff: 8 total (Day Shift: 5 RNs, 3 Patient Care Techs; Night Shift: 5 RNs, 3 Patient Care Techs)
Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:6 (not guaranteed)
Equipment: PCA Pumps, IV Pumps
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Meditech

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas
Minimum 1 year of telemetry experience, with telemetry experience within the last year
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Meditech EMR system

Typical Procedures

Management of central lines
Administration of medication drips

Ideal Candidate Profile

Positive attitude and engaged
Independent with strong critical thinking skills
Prior patient care experience is a priority

Additional Notes
