Location: Denver, Colorado
Contract Length: 6 weeks
Unit Information
- Unit: Labor & Delivery
- Beds: 17
- Staff: 56 total
- Shift Staffing:
- Day Shift: 1 Charge RN, 5-6 RNs, 1 OB Scrub Tech
- Night Shift: 1 Charge RN, 5-6 RNs, 1 OB Scrub Tech
- Patient Ratios: Typically 1:1 to 1:3, varies with acuity
- Equipment: EFM (TOCCO, US), Doppler, Novii
- EMR System: Meditech / CPNT
Job Description
- Rapid Response role on Labor & Delivery unit
- No special scheduling or return-to-office requirements
- Caps required after accepting the assignment
- Typical procedures include Labor, C-Section, PIT, Magnesium drip, IA, ECV, Cerclage placement
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado
- Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience within the last year in an acute care hospital setting
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Current certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Electronic Fetal Monitoring Certification (EFM-C) or AWHONN certification
- Experience in Rapid Response nursing
Preferred Qualifications
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- Meditech EMR experience
- Willingness to precept
Work Hours
- Approximately 36 hours per week
