Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
Experience Required: Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
Preferred Experience: ICU experience preferred; MS/SD experience required
Job Description
Provide nursing care under general supervision to patients with a range of health problems from simple to complex in a hospital setting. Core responsibilities include:
- Managing an assigned group of patients
- Documenting patient responses and changes in physician orders
- Assisting physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
- Monitoring physiological data and intervening as needed
- Administering medications, intravenous infusions, and blood products
- Delivering competent patient care and communicating care plans to patients and families
- Making referrals for patient care needs and delegating tasks to support staff
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oklahoma
- Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Minimum of 1 year of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience within the last year
- Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) nursing experience
Additional Information
- Must have experience with MS/SD (Medical-Surgical/Step-Down) units
- ICU experience is preferred but not required

The unit I was on was mostly made up of travel nurses, which they seem the hire some of the laziest people I’ve ever met. There is a reason they offer such a high pay rate because this place is horrible.
