Operating Room Registered Nurse
Location
- Watertown, New York
Contract
- 13 weeks
- 40 hours per week
Schedule
- 8-hour day shifts
- Weekend, holiday, and on-call coverage required
- On-call response time: 30 minutes
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New York
- OR - Operating Room (1 year of experience)
- OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
- BLS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Lethal dysrhythmia interpretation skills
Preferred Qualifications
- ACLS certification
- Preceptorship, charge, and leadership abilities for experienced RNs
Key Responsibilities / Clinical Expectations
- Provide quality patient care in the operating room setting
- Assess patient needs, including clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual needs
- Recognize safety issues and use lifts appropriately for safe patient movement
- Function well in stressful situations
- Prioritize and delegate effectively
- May be required to serve as charge nurse
- Use typical clinical equipment and instrumentation in a safe and/or aseptic OR/ASU environment
