Job Opportunity: CT Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)
Location: Atlanta, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 14 weeks
Schedule & Work Details
- Shift: Day shift, Monday to Friday
- Hours: 8 hours per day (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM), 40 hours per week
- No weekend shifts or on-call required
- Floating within facility and to other locations as needed, within scope of practice
- Must work major holidays if they fall during assignment (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year’s Eve/Day)
- Maximum Return to Office (RTO) time: 7 days
Requirements/Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist
- CT Technologist experience within the last year
Required Licenses & Certifications
- State license: Must be licensed as a CT Tech in Georgia
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required (AHA or ARC accepted)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) may be required depending on unit; verify if applicable
- Other certifications (PALS, NRP, EFM, NIH Stroke) only if specified by unit description
Compliance & Screening
- Full compliance with all credentialing and onboarding requirements is mandatory before start
- Clinical screening will be conducted to determine fit for the unit
- Background check required within 30 days of start, including education verification and criminal history
- Drug screen: Negative 10-panel drug test within 60 days of start (includes amphetamines, benzodiazepines, cocaine, opiates, THC, etc.)
- Physical exam required within 12 months of start
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months; if prior positive TB, additional documentation required
- Annual TB questionnaire required
- Immunizations/vaccinations required or documentation of immunity:
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) – 2 vaccines or positive titer
- Varicella – 2 vaccines or positive titer
- Hepatitis B surface antibody titer or signed declination
- Flu vaccine or signed declination (required during flu season)
- Tdap recommended but not required
Competency Requirements
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam required for RNs and LVNs (not applicable for CT Tech)
- Color blindness test required for all candidates; alternative assessment available if needed
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required only if working in telemetry or critical care areas (not typically required for CT Tech)
Additional Requirements
- Must review and sign facility-specific Code of Conduct and Dress/Professional Appearance policies prior to start
- Skills checklist within 12 months required, updated annually
- Verification of most recent work history required; can be pending at start with proof of processing
- Two clinical references required
Notes
- Number of non-billable orientation hours depends on contract length (e.g., 8 hours for 8-week assignment, 10 hours for 10-week assignment)
- Locals accepted at the same rate as travelers
- Candidate must be prepared to work assigned major holidays as outlined
- Clinical fit and final hiring decision subject to clinical and managerial review
