Job Opportunity: Pharmacist Inpatient

Location: Santa Rosa, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Work Schedule

• Shift: Day shift, 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM
• Hours: 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
• Start Date: ASAP
• Weekend requirement: Depends on department needs
• On-call: Not required
• Floating between units: Not required
• Block scheduling: Not accommodated

Required Qualifications

• Valid Clinical Pharmacist license in California
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical pharmacist experience within the last year

Certifications (Must verify if required based on clinical track)

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• Other certifications (e.g., PALS, NRP, Chemotherapy) may be required depending on clinical track; verify accordingly

Background and Compliance Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• Social Security Card (as applicable)
• Background check within 90 days covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start, updated monthly
• Education verification required
• Employment application covering at least last 5 years
• Minimum of 2 professional references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within last 3 years
• Work history verification required if exceptions to references are requested
• Drug screen: 9-panel within 12 months of start
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
• Respiratory safety clearance required annually for travel candidates
• Immunizations and health documents:

  • TDAP vaccine within 10 years (declination accepted)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
  • Seasonal flu vaccine during flu season (declination accepted)
  • COVID vaccination record preferred (declinations not required)

Training and Competency

• Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
• Annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp) required
• Epic training modules required for charting system proficiency

• No on-call or floating requirements
• Must include requested return-to-office (RTO) restrictions at time of submission
• Badge photo required for identification purposes
• Color blind testing may be required on a unit basis if specified
