Job Opportunity: Pharmacist Inpatient
Location: Santa Rosa, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- Shift: Day shift, 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM
- Hours: 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
- Start Date: ASAP
- Weekend requirement: Depends on department needs
- On-call: Not required
- Floating between units: Not required
- Block scheduling: Not accommodated

Required Qualifications
- Valid Clinical Pharmacist license in California
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical pharmacist experience within the last year
Certifications (Must verify if required based on clinical track)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- Other certifications (e.g., PALS, NRP, Chemotherapy) may be required depending on clinical track; verify accordingly
Background and Compliance Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
- Social Security Card (as applicable)
- Background check within 90 days covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start, updated monthly
- Education verification required
- Employment application covering at least last 5 years
- Minimum of 2 professional references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within last 3 years
- Work history verification required if exceptions to references are requested
- Drug screen: 9-panel within 12 months of start
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
- Respiratory safety clearance required annually for travel candidates
- Immunizations and health documents:
- TDAP vaccine within 10 years (declination accepted)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Seasonal flu vaccine during flu season (declination accepted)
- COVID vaccination record preferred (declinations not required)
Training and Competency
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
- Annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp) required
- Epic training modules required for charting system proficiency
Additional Notes
- Locals accepted for this position
- No on-call or floating requirements
- Must include requested return-to-office (RTO) restrictions at time of submission
- Badge photo required for identification purposes
- Color blind testing may be required on a unit basis if specified
