Job Details

Unit: Medical-Surgical ICU
Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Patient Ratio: 1 nurse to 2 patients
Charting System: Epic

Required Experience & Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
Minimum 1 year of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Certifications required:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Required Documentation & Compliance

Valid Driver’s License or State ID
E-Verify compliance (for direct hires)
Background checks including:
- 7-year background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks upon hire
- Education verification of highest level completed
Physical exam within 12 months of start
Fit mask test within 1 year of start, renewed annually
Negative TB test (2-step PPD, QGOLD, or TSPOT) within 1 year of start
Required immunizations or titers with acceptable documentation:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (or declination)
- Varicella (or documented history)
Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31)

Unit-specific skills checklist required annually
Work history verification for the past 7 years
Clear headshot photo for badge
Must not reside in the following Texas counties: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, Morris
