Travel/Contract role in Roanoke, Virginia
Day shift: 3x12s, 6:45 AM–7:15 PM
Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Virginia
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
Neuro PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
BLS issued by American Heart Association
NIHSS
Experience with Epic
Cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and dysrhythmia interpretation/management
IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, and central/peripheral line care

Unit Details

Stroke/Neuro PCU
Telemetry PCU specializing in stroke and neurology patients
Remote telemetry with monitors remaining on the unit
Typical ratio: 1:5; staffing goal: 1:4
Floating required within skillset

Scheduling Notes

May be every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block
One holiday required per 13-week contract
All requested time off must be included with submission
Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
First-time travelers accepted
Locals accepted within radius rule criteria
Pending license accepted only under the stated license conditions
