RN Med Surg/Tele – Float Pool

Role Overview

Travel/Contract RN Med Surg/Tele – Float Pool in Aurora, Colorado.
13-week assignment.
Night and day rotating 3x12 shifts: 19:00-07:30 and 07:00-19:30.
Weekend work is required.
First-timers are not accepted.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Colorado.
Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience).
Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year.
One completed travel assignment.
BLS issued by American Heart Association or RQI.
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
Experience with Epic.

Preferred Qualifications

Surge Space or Float Pool experience.

Float Scope

Floats within UCH Med-Surg/Tele Float Pool and ED Surge.
Supports the ED by caring for patients awaiting bed placement on an inpatient unit.
When ED support is not needed, floats to other acute care units throughout the hospital.
May be required to float to sister facilities within the metro region.

Unit Details

ED Hold: up to 30 beds.
Inpatient units: average 36 beds.

Schedule Notes

All days of the week.
On-call is not required.
Nurse-to-patient ratios may flex based on staffing and unit needs.
