Schedule

• 36 hours per week
• Alternating weekends
• 2 fall holidays

Unit Details

• 19-bed unit
• Patient ratios:

  • Critical: 1:1
  • Neonatal: 1 nurse to 2 patients
  • Intermediate: 1 nurse to 3 patients
• Equipment includes ventilators, jet ventilators, and nitric oxide ventilators

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Texas
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care (1 year of experience)
• NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience within the last year
• BLS
• NRP within 6 months of hire

Key Responsibilities

• Admit new patients to the unit
• Work with different types of ventilators
• Start peripheral intravenous lines
• Perform central line maintenance and line changes

Preferred Experience

• Experience with different types of ventilators
• Experience with infection prevention

Additional Notes

• Must be a team player
• Floating may include Pediatrics and PICU
• STABLE is encouraged
