Position Details

• Unit Beds: 12
• Patient Ratio: 1:2
• Scheduling: Self-schedule with 6 weekend shifts per period
• Floating Policy: Travelers float first to other ICUs or step-down units

Required Certifications and Licenses

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) Certification
• Registered Nurse License

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience (neurology ICU experience preferred)
• Advanced skills in care of neurology patients post-thrombectomy, TPA administration, and post-neurosurgery care

Unit Procedures and Equipment

• CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy)
• Bedside EVDs (External Ventricular Drains)
• A-line (Arterial line) monitoring
• Use of Baxter pumps
• Documentation via Cerner system

Additional Information

• Dress code: Navy Blue uniform required
• Neurology experienced ICU nurses are preferred to enhance patient care quality
