Physical Therapist Job Opportunity
Location: Bakersfield, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Setting: Acute Inpatient
- Patient Types:
- General Medical/Deconditioned
- Total Knee Arthroplasty (TKA)
- Total Hip Arthroplasty (THA)
- Spinal surgery patients
- General orthopedic patients
- Cerebrovascular Accident (CVA) patients
- Areas to Cover: Medical/Surgical, ICU, Emergency Room
- Patients Treated per Day: Approximately 12
Schedule
- Mostly 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Occasionally one day per week from 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM
- Weekend Requirement: One weekend every third weekend (Monday and Friday off those weekends)
- Holiday Requirement: None
Required Qualifications
- California Physical Therapist license
- BLS Certification (AHA)
- Acute Inpatient Physical Therapy experience is required
Additional Information
- Department-specific orientation provided, including general hospital orientation and time in each area to learn the system
- Dress code: Burgundy polo and scrub or khaki bottoms
- No Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) available; one aide to cover one hospital
